Kierra Jack is a fiber artist from Davenport, Iowa, currently based in the state. Specializing in yarn painting and crocheting, her work blends intricate craftsmanship with deep personal expression. As a Black Christian woman, Kierra’s identity is integral to the themes she explores in her art, where she strives to celebrate the nuances of these intersecting experiences. Her pieces often delve into the complexities of identity, spirituality, and cultural heritage, offering a visual language that is both intimate and powerful.

Kierra graduated from high school in 2020 and is now a Senior at Iowa State University, where she is pursuing a major in Interior Design with a minor in Entrepreneurship. This academic background shapes her artistic practice, allowing her to approach fiber arts with a unique perspective on space, structure, and design.

In addition to her fiber art, Kierra is a creator across other media, including photography and digital media, using these forms to further explore her artistic vision. For fun, she co-hosts a podcast, Black Girl In College Podcast, where she engages in thoughtful discussions surrounding higher education and identity. This creative versatility allows Kierra to expand her reach and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

The mission of her work, as expressed through her art and her platform, is captured in her mantra: "The mission of Kika is to embrace identity expression through our unique approach of resourcefulness, removing limitations from creativity." Kierra seeks to empower others to explore their identities without boundaries, and through her artistry, she encourages a celebration of creativity in all its forms.

As Kierra continues to grow both as an artist and as a young professional, she envisions a future where her work inspires others to embrace their authentic selves and to approach creativity with limitless imagination.
